 Business Services Manager (Development Offshore Wind)

This is an exciting role within RWE as the successful applicant will be a key member supporting the management of the Offshore Development teams and department. We are offering you, a highly organised task coordinator and process manager the possibility to leverage your existing skill-sets to further enhance the capabilities of RWE Renewables. In this role  you will support the development teams and management  in securing a large market share and maintaining RWE Renewables leading role in the sector. We will require the right candidate to have an organised and pragmatic mindset.

This key hire will be responsible for the development and maintenance  of reporting processes for resource planning, internal board information, KPI analysis, and project support to strengthen the company’s reporting and lessons learnt sharing.  You will  support project success in identifying and creating opportunities to improve project management.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

As a Business Services Manager (Development Offshore) your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting:

Develop and produce the project pipeline, resource and KPI reporting; Support the Mid Term Plan (project budgeting and resource forecasting) including reporting to Offshore Development Management Team; Produce internal governance organisation and reporting; Risk reporting

 

  • Growing the team:

Support global recruitment, including resource planning and tracking; Processing visa applications; Training and induction organisation;

 

  • Processes:

Be responsible for process development within Project Management and Optimisation; Continuous improvement process management; Lessons learnt and best practice transfer;

 

  • Project Management Support:

Support project Bid workstreams with tender preparation, submissions and approvals; support/develop departments document, Data Sharing and Digitalisation strategy; Create pro-forma project team structures/organisations/role profiles; Pull together “best bits” for bids for sites in terms of RWE experience; Pro forma JV structures for provision of resources;

 

  • Team interface:

Facilitate team meetings by ensuring effective distribution, tracking and reminders of department’s content; Administer team’s SharePoint and Team Connect pages; Assisting projects/ the wider organisation with tasks connected to the line organisation;

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

 

We are looking for a colleague with the following characteristics and skills:

  • Ability to develop and independently manage various reporting processes;
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Strong organisation skills;
  • Fluent in English and other language skills beneficial
  • Ability to focus on delivery and to balance a varied and challenging workload;
  • Experience of working in the renewable energy or similar industry desirable but not essential
  • Experience in Business or Portfolio Reporting, Project Management and/or Continuous Improvement an advantage
  • Degree in Project Management, HR, Business or equivalent qualification is desirable, but a proven background in a meaningful business or project activities may be sufficient.

 

Location

 

Swindon/London/Hamburg/Essen or any of RWE Renewables European offices.

Full time, or part-time considered.
