The sustainability team at RWE Renewables Europe & Australia GmbH leads the organization’s sustainability strategy, aiming to minimize our environmental footprint and promote sustainable practices across all levels of project cycles. As a global function, the team covers all markets with activities by RWE Renewables Europe & Australia GmbH.
About the role:
- Support the sustainability reporting process through data collection, audit preparation, data analysis, database maintenance, presentation development, and document management.
- Maintain and further develop the team’s ESG data dashboard for tracking and reporting key sustainability metrics.
- Conduct research and market analysis on key sustainability topics including circular economy, decarbonization, climate change, and emerging regulatory developments.
- Maintain and continuously improve the team’s Sustainability SharePoint platform and internal knowledge repositories.
- Create clear and impactful data visualizations to communicate sustainability metrics and trends effectively to support sustainability projects and stakeholder engagement.
- Organize and update an internal repository for sustainability resources, reports, and regulatory updates to ensure easy access to important information.
- Support sustainability projects, initiatives, and ad-hoc requests in the team.
Qualification:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in sustainability issues and a proactive drive to learn and contribute.
- Understanding of sustainability and renewable energy is required; prior work experience in these areas is a plus.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent skills in MS Office, experience with PowerBI or Tableau is advantageous.
- Highly organized with a structured, team-oriented approach to work.
- Analytical and systematic thinker, problem-solving oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage, analyze, and verify data accurately with high attention to detail.
- Fluency in English.
