About the role

From here, you can help shape how we bring the energy transition to life. At RWE Supply & Trading, we connect global energy markets, and our Corporate Communications & Events team translates this into high-impact experiences from leadership conferences and employee town halls to client events and trade fairs.

As a Working Student Event Management d/f/m, you will support the planning, delivery and follow-up of national and international events. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, take ownership of selected tasks and projects, and gain hands-on insight into professional event management in a leading energy trading environment.

  • Support end-to-end event delivery, from concept development to on-site execution and post-event follow-up
  • Research and coordinate event logistics, including venues, hotels, suppliers and services
  • Manage participant workflows, including invitations, registrations and attendee communication
  • Prepare internal meetings and create presentations and event materials
  • Coordinate operational activities such as room bookings, briefings, timelines and supplier management
  • Provide on-site support to ensure smooth execution and a high-quality participant experience
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of formats, tools and processes

  • Currently enrolled at a university, ideally in business, communications, marketing, event management or a related field
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident in using standard office tools (e.g. Microsoft 365) and working with presentations and data lists
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver them reliably end-to-end
  • Clear communication skills and confidence in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive, hands-on mindset and motivation to learn in a fast-paced, international environment

Advantageous, but not essential

  • Initial experience in organising events (e.g. student initiatives, internships, volunteering or similar)
  • Experience with event or communication tools and an affinity for creating and presenting slides for internal audiences
  • Additional language skills to support international event formats

What we value most is someone who continuously demonstrates courage, strives to create impact and seeks to build trusting, collaborative relationships. So, even if you think you do not yet display all of the skills listed above we would still like to hear from you.

Further we welcome applications from individuals who may not be able to commit to full-time roles. At RWEST, finding the right person for the job is our top priority, and we are willing to explore flexible arrangements.
