Your Tasks:

 

  • Execution of selected project or portfolio divestments for RWE Renewables' assets especially in the Polish market
  • Identification of potential divestment opportunities based on a defined asset strategy
  • Identification of potential partnership or acquisition opportunities
  • Execution of selected acquisitions to expand the project pipeline
  • Design and structuring of long-term asset partnerships in collaboration with potential or existing partners/investors
  • Effective technical leadership of various transaction project teams
  • Responsibility for budget and time targets in transactions
  • Continuous financial and qualitative analysis of a defined number of transactions and transaction opportunities
  • Close cooperation, coordination, and collaboration with various technology and support functions at RWE Renewables regarding the execution and local impact of a specific transaction
  • Effective mentoring of junior transaction managers
  • Supporting the learning, development, and progress processes of team members through in-depth M&A expertise

 

Job Requirements & Experience

 

  • Business or analytical/quantitative degree with typically 6-8 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the Polish market.
  • MBA, CFA, or similar postgraduate degree is an advantage.
  • Understanding of energy markets, generation technologies, and investor markets.
  • Excellent strategic and analytical thinking skills, coupled with the ability to implement and successfully complete projects and transactions.
  • Ability to think through and calculate transaction scenarios creatively and with an open mind.
  • Confidence in dealing with relationships with high-level stakeholders (both internal and external).
  • Affinity and high motivation to work in an international and changing business environment.
  • Strong personal skills to feel comfortable in different cultural environments, with a sense of diversity and integration.
  • Ability to connect with junior team members through effective listening and to build trust with colleagues, especially when it comes to removing obstacles or blockages.
  • Fluent in Polish, English (written and spoken), other european languages are an advantage.
