Join the RWE Renewables team as a Senior Technical Contracting Engineer (m/w/d) supporting onshore wind and solar projects in Germany and help us shape the future of renewable energy.
The Project Engineering Germany department provides technical support and technical expertise in the development, construction and during operation of our wind and solar farms in the specialist areas of Resource Assessment, Site Suitability, Civil and Electrical Engineering.
Your tasks
As Senior Technical Contracting Engineer (m/w/d) you will lead the technical side of the contracting process for BoP and solar works:

Responsible for the preparation of technical documents for BoP and solar tenders (construction and electrical trades) in close coordination with procurement, all engineering teams and the German development and construction teams

Responsible for the coordination of project specific requirements with all engineering teams and the German development and construction teams and transfer of RWE's technical standards and requirements into them. Responsible for the technical evaluation of offers as well as identification and evaluation of deviations in close coordination with the purchasing department, all engineering teams and the German development and construction teams

Lead and coordinate technical negotiations in close coordination with Purchasing, all Engineering teams and the German Development and Construction teams up to negotiated/signed contracts

Independently develop and implement technical specifications, standards and requirements in close coordination with all engineering teams and the German development and construction teams

Identify and follow up on "lessons learnt" from the tendering and contracting process and support "LCoE" reduction initiatives

Support the junior Technical Contracting Engineers in the team
Your Profile
-
Successfully completed university studies in an engineering degree programme, ideally in civil engineering or electrical engineering or comparable
-
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in technical procurement and/or project management, especially in wind, solar or other infrastructure projects

Ability to balance technical requirements against economic benefits across all project phases

Very good technical understanding of construction trades as well as technical understanding of electrical trades or very good technical understanding of electrical trades as well as technical understanding of construction trades

Knowledge of relevant German norms and standards

Good project management skills, ability to plan and organise tasks independently and to prioritise

Strong negotiating skills, good assertiveness and ability to discuss technical, operational and economic issues with colleagues and business partners

Ability to work in a team and interest in interdisciplinary tasks, combined with the ability to build sustainable working relationships in international teams across regions and functions

Business fluent in German and English
