Your Tasks

 

  • Provide a clear view on renewables energy markets trends based on economic, regulatory, technology and supply chain information to enable informed strategy and business decisions
  • Monitor competitor developments, analyze competitive benchmarks, technologies, and market developments for all business areas and assess their long-term impact
  • Lead and facilitate strategic processes in cooperation with RWE’s operational and functional business units
  • Become the responsible strategy contact for single RWE Renewables’ business areas to create and steer the strategy, evaluate opportunities and shape development plans
  • Evaluate strategic consistency of RWE Renewables’ business and project opportunities
  • Develop sound understanding of our setup and capabilities by fostering excellent working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Run, manage and support strategic projects and initiatives across technologies and geographies

 

Your Profile

 

  • Excellent business, engineering, or natural science degree, preferably post-graduate degree/MBA
  • Several years (3-5 years) of proven professional experience and in-depth expertise in the renewables energy business either through a position in the operational business or comprehensive consultancy work
  • Strong analytical and conceptual mind with the ability to simultaneously consider a multitude of different variables and to draw meaningful conclusions from their synthesis
  • Ability to summarize complex topics and extract decision options
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills
  • Creative and open-minded individual with an ability to link theoretical scenarios with actual feasibility for the company
  • Strong personal credibility, high level of social competence and balanced personality, strong team orientation
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
