Your future plans

The Software Asset Management Team handles all Licenses and License contracts across the whole RWE group. We support the business with IT projects as well as manage the lifecycle of our software estate.


  • Responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of the Software Asset Management (SAM) for IT; work closely with IT Strategy and Architecture teams
  • Work with the IT departments across all OpCo or affiliate of RWE, to optimise the SAM and licence estate across the RWE business, ensuring compliance and cost optimisation
  • Conduct and report software asset reconciliation and audit activities on a timely basis, including financial, licencing, legal, compliance, warranty and maintenance
  • Track details and ensure visibility of all licences, end user licence agreements, warranties, maintenance agreements and vendor contracts
  • Establish and maintain / continuously improve robust SAM Processes, aligning with ITIL and ISO to meet the best needs of the business; ensure RWE have legal compliance and optimal cost base; these should also include tracking the sign-in, sign-out or deployment of IT assets and software Licencing
  • Work closely with procurement and IT project teams to support in all licensing topics and ensure cost effective and compliant licensing


Your powerful skills

  • 5+ years of Experience in a Software Asset Management
  • Extensive dealings with business software suppliers and relevant experience in SAM Tool operation (Snow License Manager)
  • In depth knowledge of License models, finding the optimal licencing path and also SAM Tool operation
  • Business fluent in English and German
  • Experience in working International multi-site company environments
  • Innovative problem solving skills
  • Self-reliant and able to work to own initiatives
  • Ability to work under pressure – patient, tolerant and resilient
  • Results orientated
  • Good interpersonal skills including cultural and ethical awareness
