Project Manager Construction PV / Solar (w/m/d)

As Project Manager Construction PV/Solar, you are responsible for solar projects from the point at which all administrative conditions for construction have been regulated until the final acceptance of the system and its handover to operations. You ensure the proper implementation of projects (typically €10-40+ million) in terms of security, budget, time and quality.

 

Your activities

  • Coordinate the activities of a multidisciplinary team from engineering, legal, procurement, safety, health, etc.
  • Communicate with and advise the various stakeholders of the project and act as a central point of contact during the construction phase
  • Support the development of projects in collaboration with purchasing and engineering
  • Participate in contract negotiations with the selected suppliers and then manage the contracts
  • Control and coordinate the work and all interfaces on the construction site, including interfaces with local authorities and property owners
  • Responsible for monthly internal reporting
  • Proactively drive and manage continuous improvement of the organization (e.g. reducing life cycle costs, increasing internal efficiency, sharing best practices)

 

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university studies in engineering or natural sciences or in a comparable field of study
  • Several years (typically 5 years) of relevant professional experience in project management in construction, ideally in the solar industry
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
  • Strong project management skills and experience as a project manager
  • Experience with MS Office tools including MS Project through regular use
  • Excellent organizational skills and confident handling of risks and priorities
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to make regular business trips to construction sites in Germany to ensure the progress of the projects and to define the next steps together with the site management
  • Knowledge of German H&S regulations and standards as well as German building regulations and standards is an advantage but not required
