Your responsibilities
As a Project Engineer in Water Treatment, you will accompany our national and international (large-scale) projects related to various technologies such as hydrogen generation or combined cycle power plants and make a major contribution to the energy transition. Become a part of #TeamRWE and let's tackle the challenges of the future together by fulfilling the following tasks, among others:

  • Successfully advancing projects with expertise in process and mechanical engineering (water treatment, wastewater treatment)
  • Reviewing and optimizing water concepts
  • Preparing feasibility studies, including for research and development projects
  • Managing contractors in terms of scope, budget, and deadlines
  • Creation of specifications for plants and systems and carrying out due diligence
  • Review of existing plants and assessment of shortcomings, including solution development
  • Concept development, design planning and procurement of plants and systems in the field of water treatment

 

Your profile

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, energy technology, chemical engineering or similar
  • Several years of professional experience in operation, maintenance or in challenging projects with plant manufacturers in the power plant environment
  • Experience in tendering and handling water treatment systems
  • Experience in project management and execution of projects
  • Strong communication skills as well as persuasiveness and drive
  • Business fluent in English

Advantageous, but not a must

  • Sound knowledge of water law and approval procedures
  • Knowledge of the automation of water treatment plants and their integration into higher-level process control systems
  • German or Dutch language skills
  • Willingness to travel at home and abroad
  • Interest in the topics of hydrogen production and Power2x
