RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Global Human Resources division as Development Partner Germany, based in Essen.

 

This position plays a vital role in strengthening our ambitions to grow our talent by supporting our internal employees with suitable learning and development offers. As a key member of our HR People & Organisational Development team, the individual will drive the professional growth of our employees by facilitating meaningful development conversations, and supporting employees in their ongoing development journey as well as implementing strategic HR initiatives.

About the role

  • Development Conversations: Conduct and facilitate impactful one-on-one development conversations with employees and leaders to support their growth, career aspirations, and personal development goals. 
  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with leaders to identify development needs and co-create tailored solutions to empower their teams. Be the first point of contact for all personal and organisational development request from employees located in Germany. 
  • Project Management: Plan and execute national and international HR projects focusing on development, leadership, and change management.
  • Leadership Development: Support leaders by developing and delivering workshops, training sessions, and coaching initiatives to enhance leadership capabilities and team dynamics. 
  • Organisational Development: Identify development needs and design customised programmes and strategies to strengthen our organisation.
  • Learning and Development Portfolio: Co-Design with our learning experts and implement learning strategies and initiatives that address individual and team development needs.
  • Talent Management: Support implementing initiatives around talent development, succession planning, and career paths.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with global HR teams and business units to successfully implement our people strategy.

 

Job requirements and experience

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in economics, human resources, international management or organisational psychology desirable.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a development role in a fast paced, delivery focused commercial environment, ideally on an international level.
  • Strong background in facilitating development conversations, designing learning initiatives, and implementing strategies for individual growth.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage development-focused projects within complex organisational structures.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels including management and external parties, being able to build strong and sustainable relationships. 
  • Confident self-starter with excellent networking skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in development of learning strategies & concepts.
  • Experience in consulting all management levels or own leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in English (German is a plus) and international experience.

 

Advantageous, but not essential

  • Coaching qualification or equivalent experience in coaching individuals or teams to enhance their performance and development.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics and using data to inform development strategies.
  • Knowledge of agile working methods and their application in HR contexts.
  • Experience of working in a trading or similar commercial environment would be a plus.
