Your future plans
In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with our IT functions to identify skill gaps, design specific learning programs and implement strategies to ensure our IT workforce is equipped for future challenges and technological advancements.

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with IT Leadership: Work closely with IT managers and team leads to understand the current skill sets, identify future skill requirements and align learning initiatives with strategic business objectives
  • Skill Gap Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify skill gaps within the IT department; utilise various tools and methodologies to analyse competency levels and determine areas for improvement
  • Learning Program Design: Develop and implement customised learning programs and training initiatives tailored to the specific needs of the IT department; utilise a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods to enhance learning effectiveness
  • Curriculum Development: Create and maintain a curriculum of technical training courses, workshops, and learning resources to address identified skill gaps and promote continuous learning and development within the IT workforce; design and implement initiatives to drive self-directed learning formats supporting a continuous learning culture
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and select external training vendors, consultants, or online learning platforms to supplement internal learning initiatives; manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective delivery of high-quality training programs
  • Technology Adoption Strategy: Collaborate with IT leaders to develop strategies for the adoption of new technologies and tools within the department; identify training needs related to technology upgrades or implementations and develop plans to facilitate smooth transitions
  • Performance Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback mechanisms, assessments, and performance metrics; continuously refine and improve learning initiatives based on feedback and outcomes
  • Change Management Support: Provide support and guidance to IT teams during periods of organisational change, such as mergers, restructures, or process improvements; facilitate smooth transitions by addressing learning and development needs and promoting a culture of adaptability and resilience

 

Your powerful skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, IT, Economics or related field 
  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, preferably within an IT or technology-focused environment, ideally on an international level
  • Strong understanding of IT skill sets, technologies and industry trends
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, being able to build strong and sustainable relationships 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in instructional design, curriculum development and training delivery
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Proficiency in English and international experience

Advantageous, but not a must

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Learning
  • SCRUM Master, Change Management experience and agile transformation experience 
  • Experience of working in a trading or similar commercial environment would be a plus
