About the role
As the Head of Team “Mechanical & Materials” within Gas Engineering and Outage (E&O) you are responsible for concepts, planning and delivery of projects (including overhauls, modifications, other major projects) within your discipline area. You will also be responsible for the long term reliability & integrity management of the related equipment including HRSGs, natural gas systems, balance of plant and other static mechanical equipment. You will be responsible for deployment of consistent engineering standards & solutions across the gas portfolio for all related E&O activities in your discipline area.
You will join and play an active part in the Gas E&O leadership team with a direct reporting line to the Head of Gas E&O. You will work in close collaboration with the wider Gas E&O leadership team to continuously improve & ensure the delivery of all Gas E&O activities. You will be required to work in close collaboration and build strong relationships with other departments and teams across the business.

  • Leadership of the international Gas E&O team - Mechanical & Materials.
  • Accountable for the planning & execution of a portfolio of overhauls, larger projects & modifications across the gas portfolio.  
  • Maintain and continuously develop the required expert level expertise and resources (internal & external solutions) to ensure the delivery of long term engineering & maintenance strategies to the gas portfolio.  
  • Engineering risk management and development of optimised (techno-economic) engineering & maintenance solutions within discipline area. 
  • Active & Visible Leadership across own team and within Gas E&O driving performance, change & continuous improvement. 

Job requirements and experience

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable. 
  • Several years experience in an international leadership role within a mechanical engineering and project management in the energy sector. 
  • Demonstration of complex thinking skills, including both analytical and conceptual skills.
  • An ability to foster teamwork and build effective groups across international borders and across structures delivering successful outcomes.
  • Flexible, intercultural sensitive and modern working style.
  • Business Fluent in English.

Advantageous, but not essentiel

  • Secondary language (German or Dutch).
