Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (d/f/m)

As Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (d/f/m) you are responsible for our Azure Cloud Environment, streamlining our operations, supporting our DevOps team and our Global Data Backbone.

Your tasks

  • Own and manage our day to day cloud environment in Microsoft Azure including our global data backbone to make sure they are performing smoothly, including the monitoring layer
  • Writing knowledge base articles to enable self-service and proactive solutions, helping , coaching and training colleagues
  • Translating business requirements into required infrastructures and security requirements
  • Analysis and elimination of technical incidents via tickets and/or other method
  • Support the cloud infrastructure including 1st and 2nd level support, including documentation
  • Enable good working relationship and knowledge exchange with other teams within the renewables business
  • Participate in solving technical challenges to ensure prompt and high-quality solutions, including coordination, troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis in complex technical environments
  • Actively monitor for cloud system outages and rapidly react when needed

Your profile

  • Successfully completed University Degree in Information Technology or similar with related experience
  • Relevant experience in Azure cloud, including related certifications
  • Experience in deploying, configuring and scaling infrastructure components (including but not limited to VM, SQL Servers, Databases, Virtual Networks, VPNs, AAD, AD Connect, Data Factories, Data Lakes, SQL Elastic Pools, Subscriptions, Resource Groups, etc)
  • Experience in working with the IT Security Team, Solution Architects and Security Operations teams with any security-related issues
  • High competence in PowerShell script development
  • Ability to work within a team and experience working in international environments including contractors and providers
  • Fluent in English – writing and speaking, German and any other language are a plus
  • Experience in Amazon Web Services is a plus
