About the role

At RWE Supply & Trading, we shape a climate-neutral future by bringing energy to market reliably and responsibly.

Our Clearing Operations team sits at the heart of our trading activities, ensuring that every trade is processed, controlled and settled accurately so the business can operate with speed and confidence.

This is a hands-on role with real trades, real systems and real responsibility. You will work in a high-accountability environment where daily operations, regulatory requirements, system dependencies and ongoing change come together. Your focus will be to maintain control, ensure accuracy and continuously improve how we operate.

  • Process, clear, reconcile and control trades end to end with a strong focus on accuracy and timely execution
  • Ensure robust operational control across daily activities, regulatory requirements and system dependencies
  • Identify improvement opportunities and translate them into practical enhancements to processes and controls
  • Build transparency across the trading lifecycle to support better decision-making and risk management
  • Take ownership of defined parts of the post-trade lifecycle and develop a deep understanding of how trading activities are operationally secured

Job requirements and experience

  • Strong attention to detail combined with the confidence to question, investigate and improve processes
  • Ownership mindset with a clear focus on delivering reliable outcomes
  • Ability to make informed decisions and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work across teams and share knowledge effectively
  • Comfortable navigating complexity, setting priorities and challenging the status quo
  • Calm, structured and resilient when working under pressure and managing multiple inputs

Advantageous, but not essential

  • Experience with tools such as Endur, SAP, Power BI or exposure to automation or regulatory topics
  • A structured and curious mindset with the ability to learn quickly and adapt in a complex environment

What we value most is someone who continuously demonstrates courage, thrives to create impact and seeks to build trusting, collaborative relationships. So, even if you think you do not yet display all of the skills listed above we would still like to hear from you.

Further we welcome applications from individuals who may not be able to commit to full-time roles. At RWEST, finding the right person for the job is our top priority, and we are willing to explore flexible arrangements.
