IT provides the information systems that underpin all RWE’s trading, origination, and optimization activities across the globe. We provide operational support to all departments and we deliver new projects and changes to existing applications.
CAO Platform Services IT is all about taking care of RWEST’s front-office global platforms. One fundamental part is to make the most out of what we have at our disposal. Where in the past these were big powerplants we are now changing into a more diverse portfolio with lots of new challenges and opportunities for optimization.
Your responsibilities
- Be part of the team that is responsible for all customer-facing IT systems.
- Interact closely with business (e.g. traders and portfolio managers) to understand new requirements, evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Communicate progress transparent to stakeholders, end users and the team.
- Contribute to building quality software by using your knowledge to implement great-looking, event-driven and highly interactive interfaces.
- Keep up to date with the developments in technology and quickly adapt to them to achieve better results.
- Work in a DevOps model and take responsibility for business-critical applications in the Asset Management IT area.
- Enrich a team of 10 people with your strong Angular and Typescript skills in order to enhance a newly created system landscape used for the asset management of RWE’s asset fleet.
Profile
- Extensive experience working with Angular (Typescript, HTML5 and SCSS) and frameworks (Angular 18 / 19)
- You are a clean coder committed to writing maintainable, high-quality code.
- Extensive Client-side development experience, gained while building single-page web applications
- Extensive experience with functional and reactive programming (e.g. Rx.js, Signal)
- Extensive experience with unit/component/E2E testing (e.g. with Jest, Vitetest, Cypress, Playwright)
- Expert knowledge of web tooling (e.g. ESBuild, Vite, NX Monorepo, NPM, Node.js)
- Have basic knowledge in Entra ID Authentication
- A passion (or even experience) with User Experience (UX) and User Interface Design (e.g. Figma)
- Broad knowledge in creating Angular-based web applications based on a material design company design library
- Deep and extensive TypeScript and utilizing technologies like GraphQL, WebAPI or gRPC endpoints.
- Very strong communication and teamwork skills
- Very high motivation to learn, grow and also develop others
- Fluency in both German and English
Advantageous, but not a must
- Very good understanding of ES6 and newer ES specifications
- Experience with AgGrid, HighCharts
- Proficient in managing and working with both relational and non-relational database systems (Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB), with a strong emphasis on non-relational databases, particularly MongoDB.
- knowledge of AWS infrastructures and services (e.g. S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, SNS, SQS, StepFunctions, EventBridge, CloudWatch, ECS Fargate)
- Experience with conceptualizing and implementing Monitoring & Alerting procedures & frameworks (e.g. ELK stack, Elastic Common Shema, OTEL)
- Experienced in working in an agile environment
