Developer (d/f/m) for LCOE Tools

As Developer for LCOE Optimization tools you are part of our LCOE Optimization Team and supporting us to increase the competitiveness and value of our future renewable generation assets. In close collaboration with your colleagues within the team you are driving the further standardization, development and optimization of out IT-Tool support and digitization agenda - especially supporting early stage development projects. Beyond this, you will be involved in the project specific LCOE Optimization of our future project pipeline

Your tasks

  • Participate in driving and shaping our LCOE Optimization tools, incl. concept design, delivery, support and maintenance to enable our ongoing LCOE optimization efforts and provide the next level of tools to increase the efficiency of the optimization approach
  • Support in analyzing approaches and tools available on the market for a tool-supported LCOE assumption taking and optimization and derive our internal improvement agenda for our internally applied tools
  • Support our central activities to maintain and innovate a comprehensive register of LCOE ideas, lessons learned and best practices to accelerate idea generation in each project, and beyond for each technology
  • Participate in conducting competitor and market analysis with regards to best practice tools in LCOE Optimization and derive lessons learnt for our internal further digitization roadmap
  • Support the LCOE optimization efforts in our RWE RES development & construction projects by:
    • Setting up a systematic optimization approach, incl. target ambition, baseline and necessary LCOE workshops with internal and external stakeholders
    • Supporting in managing the LCOE improvement efforts of the project team incl. idea generation, validation and implementation planning in close collaboration with the respective responsible of the project team
    • Tracking of LCOE ideas and measures to ensure that the project is properly optimized
    • Ensure a prominent and transparent communication of the LCOE initiatives with the senior project management team and stakeholders in the organization
  • Promote LCOE-driven culture, incl. program awareness, celebration of successes and regular communication initiative

Your profile

  • Successfully completed  university degree in the domain of technology, natural science and/or economics with relevant experience in IT / modelling and programming
  • First relevant experience in project management, preferably within the (renewable) energy business and/or from a consulting background
  • Very good level of expertise in:
    • Excel / Access modelling, including advanced functions and VBA programming
    • Additional skills in latest programming languages, e.g. Python, are a strong plus
  • Experience in complex data analysis, modelling and/or cost engineering would be an advantage
  • Interdisciplinary and creative mindset, ability to work independently and proactively
  • Proven project management, communication and stakeholder management skills, able to prioritise and work independently
  • Strong team player, flexible, self-organising, focused on stakeholder needs and capable to strive within a dynamic international environment
  • (Business) fluent in English, further languages are an advantage as well good command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
