Working as a key member of the Engineering & Outage (E&O) Biomass team the Project and Outage Schedule Planner Eemshaven has a central role in ensuring that project and outage preparation and delivery is carried out in line with the harmonised Gated Process and Outage Planning Philosophy ensuring the successful completion of outages and projects at our site in Eemshaven.

Supporting the local Technical Asset Lead (TAL) in outage and project planning (long term, preparation and execution/delivery) you will implement suitable monitoring and intervention techniques to allow robust evaluation of the impact of delays and changes to outage programme.  The Project and Outage Schedule Planner will own both the long term and short-term plans and liaise with Outage and Project Managers as well as the engineering discipline heads to help optimise scheduling, calendar placing and budget monitoring whilst balancing the E&O resource demand profile.
 

 

Your future plans

  • Work with the local Technical Asset Lead and the Portfolio Technical Teams to produce the outage scope and plan in line with the Gated Process documentation
  • Closely co-operate with all relevant outage and project team members to manage the evolution of the plan during all phases (e.g. project engineers, outage/Project managers, operations, HSE advisors)
  • Ensure Quality Management features such as witness points are identified and included in the plan
  • Carry out critical path analysis and monitor these during the delivery phase of the project to assist with managing priorities
  • Update the plan to ensure progress is understood and to identify movement in the key dates and key deliverables, ensuring the causes of changes are fully identified and communicated to allow for mitigation to be put in place
  • Monitor progress compared to plan on site
  • Support the development and training of others in the planning philosophy and best practice.
  • Ensure that all planning activities are completed in accordance with the RWE Gated Process.
  • Produce an Outage & Project Communication strategy to ensure outage and project progress is being visualised and key stakeholders are updated accordingly
  • Support in contract & claims management through knowledge of project/outage delivery
  • Continuously developing planning and monitoring standards

Monitor budget versus cost developments through liaison with budget holders and project members

 

Your powerful skills

 

  • Qualified to HNC / Degree Level in relevant Engineering Discipline and Membership of a relevant professional body or technical degree (non-academic) in a major discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, DCS/C&I, Process, Chemical) or comparable
  • Comprehensive professional experience in maintenance or engineering as well as outage/project planning and/or execution in the energy production or chemical industry
  • Focus on fostering teamwork
  • Strong communication, analytics and planning skills
  • Safe behaviour at all levels
  • Enthusiasm and assertiveness
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Strongly developed ownership mindset
  • Fluent in Dutch, sound English skills beneficial
