For our power plant in Eemshaven, we are looking for a full-time H&S Advisor/Safety Expert to strengthen our safety policy.

As an H&S Advisor/Safety Expert, you play an important role. You will be responsible for general safety support and will work as a safety specialist in accordance with Dutch legislation and standards (including the Occupational Health and Safety Act). You will work closely with colleagues from operations, engineering & maintenance, and contractors on-site.
 

About the role

• You are an expert who collaborates with an engaged and proactive management team to maintain and ensure a safe working environment for all employees on-site.
• You ensure the further development and regular maintenance of the health and safety management system.
• You implement the necessary protective measures on-site in accordance with ISO 45001.
• You support and further develop our "Mission ZERO" safety culture program.
• You assist line management in investigating accidents/incidents.
• You provide safety-related training and courses.
• You coordinate the site-specific safety improvement plan.

Your profile

• You have completed a Higher Safety Expert (HVK) diploma.
• You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position.
• Experience with implementing a safety management system, preferably aligned with ISO 9001, 45001, or similar.
• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Good knowledge of Dutch occupational health and safety legislation.
• Proficient in both Dutch and English, additional languages are a plus.
• High level of independence, responsibility, and decision-making ability.
• Strong team spirit with good communication and presentation skills.
