Senior Lead Technician Electrical Major Corrective Team

Functional area: Engineering; Technical Services 

To be part of a flexible team to lead, develop, support and advise sites in the exchange of main components mainly but not limited to the Senvion 5/6 MW WTG platforms Offshore and to be part of a  flexible team able to react to the requirements of the offshore fleet supporting sites in technical campaigns and to have the ability to carry out duties of a Senior Authorised Person to ensure safe isolation of plant and equipment prior to works starting.

The role will be home based or site based with regular and frequent travel mainly within Central Europe.

 

Your future plans:

 

  • Assist in the development of the offshore major components team and help ensure a positive EBIT contribution.
  • Hands on role with carrying out and supervision of major component exchanges predominantly on Senvion machines (5/6 MW platform) in conjunction with the site teams.
  • Support other special campaigns within RWE`s Offshore portfolio once no defects on main components are present.
  • Contribute into WTG site strategies for major components working closely with engineering and digital support functions.
  • Asssist sites to Identifiy and procure special tool requirements for all scenarios and assist in site procurement process.
  • Assist sites to Identify spares requirements for major components.
  • Play a key role in the support of technical campaigns across the CE and UK fleets.
  • Assist in the creation / review of Work Instructions and associated documentation for all major component tasks.

 

Your skills:

 

  • Time served apprenticeship in electrical / mechanical / instrumentation or relevant wind turbine experience and training.
  • Proven operational experience, track record and leadership skills in major component lifting operations preferably on the Senvion platforms and on Offshore platforms. (JUV)
  • Able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of Senvion wind turbine types and experienced in creating work instructions.
  • Have an excellent understanding of HSSE regulations and standards.
  • Self motivated hands on / flexible approach to all wind turbine tasks.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise works independently and experience in project planning.
  • Ability to enact the role of SAP (or equivalent) for major component exchange.
