RWE Offshore Wind GmbH
To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent

We have an excellent opportunity for a Commodity Risk Management Analyst to join RWE’s Offshore Projects & Investments team. Support the team in building clear, decision-useful visibility into risk exposures across the offshore wind portfolio. The role focuses on data integrity and exposure analysis, contributing to risk management and hedging strategies, and coordinating across cross-functional teams to ensure risks are understood, tracked, and managed intentionally.
You will support project teams by analyzing commodity, inflation, and indexation exposures; contributing to the development of standardized reporting; and helping implement agreed risk management approaches. You will work closely with cross-functional teams on contractual assumptions and learn to apply the team’s in-house modelling tools to real project decisions.
We welcome applicants who enjoy combining technical analysis with commercial problem-solving, are comfortable working with evolving data and assumptions, and are motivated by collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

About the role:

  • Support identification and quantification of commodity and inflation exposures across projects
  • Maintain exposure models, assumptions, and supporting data tracking how exposures evolve across lifecycle stages (pre-FID through operations).
  • Assist with analysis of project indexation risks, helping to inform risk management and hedging recommendations.
  • Learn to use and apply our in-house modelling and reporting tools, providing analysis and insights to support project decision-making.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Procurement, Controlling, Commercial, AG, and RWEST.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering clear presentations and reports for project teams and senior management.
  • Grow your knowledge of the renewable energy market, commodities markets, and risk management.
