As our Senior PCI Business Systems Specialist, step into a central role where your systems expertise and innovative mindset will shape the digital backbone of our trading operations—driving smarter, sustainable energy solutions across North America. This newly-created role is ideal for someone keen to take ownership and drive business impact – balancing deep technical expertise with outstanding stakeholder collaboration. You will be the go-to expert for the PCI GSMS software, coordinating its enhancement pipeline, and partnering across functional areas such as Energy Scheduling, Asset Optimisation, Settlements and Risk Controlling.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary system administrator for PCI GSMS, ensuring exceptional operational performance
- Manage and update asset configurations, supporting a diverse range of business functions
- Own the PCI development pipeline, prioritising enhancements in collaboration with business and IT teams
- Coordinate and perform testing for new software releases and functional updates
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to align system improvements with operational goals
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot PCI production challenges, ensuring timely, consistent and high-quality data flows
- Act as a bridge between business users and IT, driving best practices and innovative digital solutions within the energy trading landscape
- Follow US electric market changes and liaison with PCI and RWE stakeholders to ensure system compliance
- Plan and manage larger changes and projects according to scope/requirements defnied by users, cost and timeline using best practices to deliver IT and associated process/training changes to an agreed quality level.
- Act as interface to business and IT ensuring adequate reporting and governance/control processes and tools are in place to ensure successful delivery.
Job requirements and experience
- Demonstrated expertise in PCI systems, with the technical depth and curiosity to continuously evolve your knowledge
- Outstanding communication and organisation skills, enabling you to build collaborative relationships across teams
- Proven ability to prioritise multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset, with a focus on accuracy, reliability and delivering operational excellence
- Courage to take initiative, own your decisions and drive impactful improvements for business outcomes
- Positive, solutions-oriented approach, demonstrating trustworthiness and commitment to #TeamRWE values
Advantageous, but not essential
- Broad knowledge of the US energy asset and trading business
- Experience supporting or working with renewable energy assets
- Familiarity with Endur or other ETRM systems
