The Corporate Finance Team within RWE Americas provides treasury operations across all Operating Businesses in the Americas, technologies, and policies. The key team activities include cash and liquidity management, bank account management, and collateral management.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate finance and treasury functions. Careful attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously is key. The Senior Analyst Corporate Finance is expected to quickly onboard and execute required cash and collateral management processes independently. The role requires regular interaction with various other departments, including RWE’s corporate headquarters in Germany, within the company to ensure effective functioning of the business.

 

Role Responsibilities: 

Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Work closely with operating companies and functions to ensure effective and accurate cash flow forecasting
  • Assist with the regular liquidity forecasting process and perform process improvements where needed
  • Ensure debt payments are made within contractual deadlines and assist with new issuances

Banking Management

  • Continuous review of banking landscape and country solution design to streamline, drive cash optimization, and deliver value added treasury management solutions in collaboration with various key stakeholers (Structured Finance, Tax, Legal, Accounting, corporate leadership, banking partners)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banks and bankers

Collateral Management

  • Support operational management of Bank Guarantee issuance in coordination with project management, parent company, and banks
  • Provide analysis on Letter of Credit (LC) facility utilization, exposure, and process
  • Work with various stakeholders on implementation of new facilities (RWE-AG Treasury, Legal, banking partners)

Project Management

  • Ensure compliance to relevant RWE directives and guidelines
  • Support external financings in collaboration with RWE-AG Finance

 

Job Requirements and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with a strong academic record required
  • Minimum 3 years experience 
  • At least 2 years in Treasury at an operating company (or similar time at level in treasury services or corporate finance at a bank)
  • Experience with TMS (SAP preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Educational or professional background in energy business can be helpful
  • Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
  • Customer service mindset and ability to communicate clearly to people without subject matter expertise
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Ability to work both independently on tasks and collaborate with the team on cross-functional projects
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and shape the role to best help the business
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
  • This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWE office and field locations
  • The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $74,000 - $110,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
