The Property Tax Administrator will play a vital role in supporting the Tax Department at RWE Clean Energy. Property Tax is prevalent in many aspects of the business and requires diligence and accuracy.  This role will focus on organizing and maintaining the property tax deadlines including, but not limited to: calendar tracking, payment coordination, and preparation of certain filings.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing multiple deadlines based on state and property location
  • Organize property tax bills to ensure timely payment
  • Timely prepare and submit check requests to Accounts Payable and verify check amounts are correct
  • Scanning and mailing of the bills via certified mail to destination point
  • Initial point of contact for all Accounts Payable and General Ledger account coding questions
  • Assist with return and bill tracking in tax database, ensure calendar is accurate
  • Help analyze current property tax assessed values through comparison to prior years
  • Assist with the preparation of estimates and projections

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with database entry 
  • Understanding of basic accounting concepts
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines  
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Familiarity with SAP would be beneficial but not required.
  • Demonstrate excitement to learn about Property Tax and the renewables industry
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to manage a high volume of information
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
