If that sounds like you, please join our team as a Compliance Officer for RWE Supply & Trading Americas, our Chicago-based asset trading business, and RWE Trading Americas Inc., our New York-based energy trading business.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under CFTC, FERC, and exchange rulebooks.
- Build and maintain a thorough understanding of exchange and RTO/ISO regulatory environments, relevant rules and regulations, technologies and systems, and operational processes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with market conduct standards for futures and swaps trading.
- Assist with regulatory inquiries and examinations.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, and Operations teams to implement effective compliance controls.
- Conduct testing and reviews of activities against compliance policies and procedures.
- Stay abreast of, and keep others informed about, the latest regulatory developments that may impact compliance programs.
- Provide compliance guidance and training across business lines to foster a culture of ethical conduct.
- Draft circulars and educational materials related to rules and rule interpretations.
- Support the development and implementation of compliance tools and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compliance, audit, risk, or a related function within commodities or financial services.
- Solid understanding of CFTC, exchange, and/or FERC regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independetly, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong attention to detail combined with a structured and analytical mindset.
- Knowledge of the energy industry, particularly ERCOT, PJM, and other ISOs/RTOs, preferred.
