The Associate, Market Valuation will be part of the Market Evaluation team. The Market Evaluation team evaluates distributed energy markets, programs and project opportunities helping to drive investment decisions and growth in identified areas for RWE Clean Energy. The Associate will conduct analyses of project economics, produce project and market financial models, and present results and recommendations for investment decisions. This role will gain substantial insights into markets, projects, and business operations within a highly dynamic and motivated team. This position is an impactful role with opportunities for advancement. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the strong growth ambitions of our distributed clean energy business (mainly distributed-scale solar PV and battery storage) in the Americas across all associated market sectors

  • Support quantitative and qualitative analyses of investment opportunities, and effectively communicate results

  • Support investment decision processes, and preparation of papers and presentations

  • Support tracking and reporting on existing and new market opportunities, by analyzing all market characteristics – inclusive of revenue structures, values, and program risks among others

  • Support internal ad-hoc projects with direct management involvement, including project financing and tax equity among other items

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree required, an emphasis in economics or finance is preferred

  • Minimum of 1-year experience related to finance and valuation, preferably in the renewable energy industry

  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Effective communicator with the ability to think quickly and convey information clearly and concisely 

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Critical reading skills, and the ability to comprehend and translate regulatory and legislative language 

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task

  • High energy level, passionate and motivated 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $65,000 - $97,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
