The Senior Offshore Wind Consent Manager will have a key role within the development organization. You will translate the requirements from the tender into concrete actions and ensure that each design meets environmental regulations and guidelines . On the other hand, your role is to guide our tender promises to the implementation phase, support our specialist teams in understanding and implementing our permit and legal obligations. Furthermore, you will focus on obtaining permits during the development phase, prior to the construction of our wind farms and for innovations.

The Senior Wind Consent Manager works mainly in Brussels, in a developing and motivated team and collaborates with many international colleagues.

This position requires you to attend external meetings and occasional (international) travel. colleagues. Regular travel to the Utrecht office is required.

 

Your future plans:

 

  • Setting up and implementing an optimal permitting strategy for RWE's existing and future offshore wind projects in Belgium.
  • As a member of the project management team, coordinate the project's permitting team and ensure that the necessary permits for the project are obtained and maintained.
  • Coordinate and manage permit related project development activities.
  • Liaise and coordinate towards key internal and external project components, partners, consultants and contractors.
  • Liaison and coordination towards government and other stakeholders (e.g. offshore regulators, network operators, legal advisors, relevant sea users).
  • Where applicable, liaise with JV partners.
  • Manage relevant budgets.
  • Proactively share lessons-learned and best-practices between projects in the broader portfolio.
  • Ensure safety-conscious and sustainable environment of the projects.

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as spatial planning, sustainable energy, engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in permit management or similar work areas, preferably in renewable energy.
  • Knowledge of offshore environmental, zoning and mining legislation and applicable energy policies.
  • Knowledge of reporting methods, project planning, organization and project management.
  • Working experience in the offshore renewable energy industry.
  • Highly motivated and able to deal with changing deadlines.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills (Dutch and English).
