The Solar Operations team at RWE Renewables is responsible for keeping our solar plants running efficiently by monitoring and coordinating maintenance activities, tracking performance and identifying areas for improvement, analyzing equipment failures and key operational data, supporting decision-making through reports and analysis, and participating in innovation and continuous improvement projects.

 

About the role
As an intern, you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks that will give you a complete view of solar plant operations. This is a great opportunity to gain your first hands-on work experience in a highly relevant and future-oriented industry. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing data and creating reports using SCADA information
  • Developing tools in Power BI, Excel, and SQL to improve reporting
  • Coordinating with teams on-site and collaborating with different departments
  • Helping improve processes related to maintenance and operations
  • Participating in meetings and projects, including innovation initiatives

 

Job requirements and experience
We’re looking for someone proactive, flexible, and eager to learn, with a mix of analytical and organizational skills. The role requires:

  • Enrollment in ongoing studies (third-year undergraduate or first-year master's)
  • A balanced mix of technical and management skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to organize tasks effectively
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and SQL (or willingness to learn)
  • Fluency in Spanish and good level of English
