The Technology & Innovation Intern supports the team in researching emerging technologies, assessing innovative solutions, and contributing to strategic initiatives that advance organizational capabilities. The intern will assist with technology evaluations, data analysis, prototype development, and cross-functional collaboration to help accelerate innovation and operational improvement. This role is ideal for highly curious, growth oriented students with an interest in technology development, renewable energy, sustainability, or digital innovation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support research and evaluation of emerging technologies, digital tools, and innovative processes to advance organizational efficiency and competitiveness
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and presentation of insights to support strategic decision‑making and technology roadmapping
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, innovation workshops, and cross‑functional meetings; help capture notes, track action items, and prepare summaries
- Contribute to pilot projects or proof‑of‑concept initiatives by supporting testing, documentation, and performance tracking
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas where automation, digital tools, or technical enhancements can improve processes
- Assist in developing internal documentation, including technical reports, workflow guides, and process improvement recommendations
- Support communication efforts by preparing PowerPoint decks, visual summaries, and innovation updates for leadership audiences
- Participate in job shadowing, training sessions, and intern development activities to grow technical and professional skills
- Help coordinate tasks between departments such as IT, strategy, engineering, or product teams to enhance visibility and alignment on innovation initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing fresh perspectives and creative problem‑solving to the Technology & Innovation team
Job Requirements and Experiences:
- Must be a College Sophomore, Junior, or Senior actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Sustainability, Business, or related field
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, digital transformation, and innovation strategy.
- Basic analytical skills, with ability to interpret data or research findings.
- Familiarity with productivity tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Willingness to learn technical systems, tools, or processes relevant to innovation and operations.
- Self‑starter mentality with the ability to take initiative and contribute ideas.
- Experience with basic programming, data analysis, or UX/UI concepts is a plus but not required
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, attend virtual or in‑person meetings, and occasionally support projects across multiple departments
- Work hours may align with academic requirements
