As the Sr HSSE Excellence Associate – Data Analyst, you will serve as the analytical backbone for enterprise HSSE reporting. This role goes beyond maintaining the tools that house our data—it requires HSSE subject-matter expertise to interpret what the data is saying: spotting gaps, anomalies, inconsistent trends, or reporting irregularities, and knowing what questions to ask next. You will develop, maintain, and optimize RWE Americas’ digital HSSE tools, dashboards, and interfaces, while independently managing the analysis and reporting that inform Executive Committee decision-making.
- Analyzes HSSE data with a trained eye for what it means: identifies gaps, anomalies, inconsistent trends, or reporting irregularities — such as near-miss underreporting, lagging indicator drift, or incomplete incident classification — and flags them proactively

- Serves as the HSSE department's administrator and point of contact for the development, maintenance, and optimization of HSSE-related software, digital tools, dashboards, and interfaces
- Performs HSSE data management, analyses, and reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, defensible, and useful for HSSE decision-making
- Supports the organization and maintenance of digital HSSE documentation and records, including the HSSE Management System, applying working knowledge of HSSE recordkeeping standards to catch errors or omissions before they become compliance issues
- Facilitates the technology portion of the annual HSSE Management Review across internal stakeholders and colleagues

- Processes and distributes HSSE Alerts and Lessons Learned, coordinating with international colleagues per internal processes
- Manages POs for the HSSE team in SAP to issue payments to external vendors
- Bachelor’s degree in either Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, IT, or a closely related field of study is preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred
- Experience working within an HSSE, industrial hygiene, safety engineering, environmental science, or related HSSE discipline is strongly preferred
- Ability to understand and interpret HSSE data in context—not solely general data analysis skills—is required
- Working knowledge of management systems and energy industry best practices, including ANSI Z10, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, etc., with the ability to apply this knowledge when reviewing data and reports
- Working knowledge and understanding of the HSSE-related legal environment in the energy industry, including OSHA, ANSI, NIOSH, NFPA, NCCCO, ASME, EPA, DOT, etc.
- Data science knowledge and affinity for working with digital tools/platforms and data sets to produce detailed data analysis, visualization, etc., and to transfer that knowledge to others
- Mathematical/statistical knowledge and affinity for working with numbers and statistics regularly
- Strong aptitudes and/or skills in data science, data analysis, statistics, IT, and digital tools & platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Tableau, UL 360, SAP, MSDS Online, Safety Culture, mobile applications, etc.)
- Strong interest in solving IT-related issues, understanding "how it works," and transferring that knowledge to others
- Success and facilitation/coordination experience in data science, statistics, business administration, or IT
- Strong self-initiative and self-confidence to find solutions and solve problems independently
