The Senior Manager, HRIS and Payroll is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing using the ADP WorkforceNow platform. This includes employee master data maintenance, pay calculations, tax deductions, direct deposits, and reporting while adhering to all relevant labor laws and company policies. This is a key position with assumed prior experience in people management and HR systems delivering sustainable results.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Review employee changes that would impact payroll and work with HR Business Partners and all levels of line managers to ensure pay schedule protocols are followed for every payroll
  • Supervise the work of existing payroll team members
  • Collaborate regularly with teams in talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, HR operations, finance, accounting, and treasury functions
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting, calculating, and inputting employee payroll data
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Manage mass employee data upload process promptly integrates with pay cycles
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while processing payroll
  • Administer and maintain the ADP WorkforceNow system, ensure data integrity, and implement system upgrades and enhancements
  • Maintain and track all validation reports (pre- and post-payroll), including posting to journey entries immediately after every pay cycle
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to gather and validate payroll information, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes
  • Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately
  • Generate payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions, and other required reports, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, Indian tax laws, and industry trends, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices
  • Prepare payroll validation reports and reconciliations pre- and post-payrolls and ensure the accuracy of including employee data changes procured to every payroll event
  • Interpret, provide guidance, and train employees, managers, and staff on payroll, timecards and absence functions, and related policies and procedures; reports needed changes

 

Job Requirements and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably majoring in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on operational experience in ADP WorkforceNow 
  • Relevant professional certification in payroll management, such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • SPHR or SHRM SCP certification preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to take ownership of multiple tasks and adhere to business priorities
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Teams
  • Proficiency in Excel for various payroll analyses and reconciliations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Ability to adapt to changing payroll regulations and implement necessary updates
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Awareness of other HR Cloud systems (SAP SuccessFactors or SAP HCM)
  • This position is an Austin office-based role with some travel visits to other RWECE locations
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
