Senior Business Operations Analyst

Functional area: Renewables 


The Business Operations team is part of RWE's US Wind Operations department that is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of ~30 wind farms. We support the Operations leadership team with Financial Planning, Project Management and Performance Management. Working at the interface between operational and commercial teams we analyze vast amounts of data to tell the story behind the numbers. You'll work in a highly motivated and collaborative team that strives to bring value to a fast growing business.



  •  You will lead the development of long-term O&M cost projections for new wind farm financial investment decisions 
  •  Analyzing actual performance and industry trends empowers you develop strategic initiatives to help the business succeed in the future
  •  Coordination of assumptions and communication of results to a variety of internal and external stakeholders (incl. Controlling, Partnering, and external investors)  
  •  Support corporate financial planning activities for the US Wind Operations department (incl. modelling of O&M activities)
  •  You embrace continuous improvements and enjoy envisioning and implementing new processes
  •  Your involvement in technical risk analyses allows for a data-driven approach to improve the accuracy of financial models and forecasts



  •  A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Finance, Economics, Accounting or another related field of study (Master's degree preferred)
  •  At least four years of experiences in the utility or wind energy industry 
  •  Advanced experience with MS Office (proved focus on Excel and PowerPoint)
  •  Experience with data visualization tools beneficial (especially Tableau)
  •  Experience with SAP or similar ERP system (data queries, report design, etc.)
  •  Financial modelling and focus on the details (developing DCF models and business cases, risk and statistical analyses, ...)    
  •  Stakeholder management (clear and concise written and verbal communication tailored to the audience) 
  •  Problem solving mindset and process thinking
