The Senior Associate, Business Applications will be responsible for coordinating with the business to analyze, design, and implement business solutions that support the company's strategic goals.  The Sr. Associate will work closely with stakeholders, developers, and testers to ensure that the requirements are clear, feasible, and aligned with the business needs.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. They will also provide technical support, documentation, and training for IT systems and applications.  The applicant must have the ability to perform tasks independently and/or with minimum guidance, and to take a leadership role in the software development life cycle to ensure project tasks are completed. This includes business use case analysis, designing or selecting the application, stakeholder communication, testing the application, deploying and documenting the solution.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management & Support of the migration of a suite of critical products required for the management of RWE Clean Energy business activities by Dec 31, 2025
  • Partner with business representatives to understand, define and achieve system goals, enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Create functional specifications, use cases, user stories, wireframes, and other artifacts that describe the desired features and functionalities of the IT systems and applications
  • Drive the execution of projects, ensuring that all deliverables are tracked and completed on time and within budget
  • Provide direction and support to project team
  • Implement proposed software solutions that align with the business requirements and specifications of our company
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on the management of the demand and incident queues, program management and project budgets
  • Assist with IT demand management process by prioritizing project requests, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Maintain and update the documentation and knowledge base of the IT systems and applications
  • Develop documents, presentations & dashboards to effectively communicate requirements and project status to relevant stakeholders

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree required, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
  • Ability to learn new technologies as required for the job using documentation and other available sources
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
  • Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Familiarity with Airtable, Lucidchart, Azure DevOps, LeanIX a plus
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams (ERD), cross functional diagrams, user stories, wireframes, Agile, Scrum, Unified Modeling Language (UML), Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN), etc.
  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds at all levels of the organization
  • Is a team player embracing the spirit of continuous improvement personally and within the team
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
  • This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations
  • Must be able to work with remote teams, both within the US and globally
  • Must also be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
  • Must be flexible to work off hours as required to install product upgrades, support production problems and other corporate emergencies

 

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $92,000 - $137,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
