The Global Performance Reporting & Tools department within RWE Renewables is looking for a solution manager with strong software Product Owner capabilities and good KPI management skills, based in Austin, TX. The candidate will work together with Wind and Solar Operations teams and IT/OT teams in order to deliver industry-leading software-driven products.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Act as the regional interface of GPR&T for North America: engage with various stakeholders to collect and analyze business requirements.
  • Support Operations in pursuing their digital strategy, ensuring proper alignment with the global renewables IT/OT strategy.
  • Promote proper utilization of tools and systems to ensure value is captured.
  • Provide support to the Operations and Engineering groups regarding turbine performance issues.
  • Ensure that data is reliable and KPIs are reported correctly to sharpen business focus and decision-making.
  • Provide support to Operations and Controlling regarding the provisioning and continuous improvement of the business planning process, from site level to regional level. Provide guidance and support on medium-term plan methodologies.
  • Provide guidance to and work collaboratively with IT/OT concerning data collection for the Renewables fleet.
  • Provide vision and direction to the IT/OT Agile development team, based on the stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of user stories.
  • Contribute to defining business processes and trainings for the products delivered to ensure successful implementation into production stage.
  • Eliminate or mitigate the impact of impediments to successful team completion of product or project goals.

 

Your profile

 

  • Working experience with KPIs / Reporting / Dashboards
  • Working experience as a Product Owner for at least 3 years
  • Working experience in project management
  • Preferred working experience with Operations or Engineering teams
  • Working experience with backlog/ticketing systems such as Redmine and/or Azure DevOps
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Prefer Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
  • Prefer Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification
  • Prefer working experience in the Renewable Energy business
  • Prefer experience with Tableau
