The Procurement Manager is part of the Project Procurement team and is responsible for tendering, negotiating, and executing contracts for Capex and Devex needs to support RWECE’s growth ambitions.

 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Capture business demands, develop category strategies, and manage competitive tender and contracting requirements for engineering and construction services 
  • Negotiate pricing and key terms with suppliers
  • Collaborate and build relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Identify and run diligence on new suppliers
  • Manage the full sourcing process (demand identification, RFI, RFP, Negotiations, Award & Contracting)
  • Develop master services agreements for repeat purchases & support with call offs
  • Ensure appropriate internal sign off & diligence for transactions
  • Manage SAP POs, variation orders and invoice workflow and verification

 

Job Experiences and Requirements: 

  • Preferred relevant academic degree (or equivalent) or similar education
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in operational and strategic procurement/contract management roles in Renewables development and construction projects preferred 
  • Experience in drafting, negotiating and contract management of capex and devex contracts
  • Experience in applying efficient procurement processes, structures and analytical tools
  • Experience and willingness to work in a fast-changing environment
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office programs and SAP
  • Ideally technical understanding to translate requirements into procurement specifications
  • Ideally knowledge (engineering suppliers, markets, trends) of the renewable energy industry
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned
  • Highly developed analytical and communication skills, combined with a structured work style and a pragmatic hands-on approach
  • Ability to challenge “conventional” thinking, considers others’ views and convinces with facts considering a proactive approach to overcome resistance
  • Strong eye for detail and ensuring accuracy in exchange of information and contracts.
  • Team player with strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen

 

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $103,000-140,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
