The Market Development Intern is part of the Market Development team within the broader Strategy department, an analytical group focused on identifying, evaluating, and developing business opportunities for RWECE in the US market. This team prioritizes markets by producing actionable demand/supply analyses, assessing market fundamentals and policy drivers, and conducting competitor evaluations. The Market Development team also explores new opportunities in adjacent business areas, providing ongoing market intelligence and insights to guide RWECE's strategic direction.
This internship offers hands-on experience in the renewable energy industry, providing high visibility and opportunities to contribute to impactful projects. Interns will collaborate cross-functionally across business areas, gaining exposure to market strategy, policy research, and new business development while shaping RWECE's approach to the energy transition.

Responsibilities :
- Conduct competitor research and analysis to identify market trends and opportunities, supporting business activities and strategic initiatives critical to RWECE's growth
- Research emerging low-carbon technologies (e.g., geothermal, SMRs, CCGT + CCS) to evaluate their potential for strategic integration into RWECE's portfolio and drive innovation
- Analyze US power market fundamentals and policies to provide actionable insights that inform business priorities and align with RWECE's strategic objectives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders to support ongoing projects, ensuring alignment across departments and contributing to impactful outcomes
- Develop materials and presentations for Executive Leadership, synthesizing key findings and actionable recommendations to guide decision-making at the highest level
- 0Work collaboratively with team members to gain practical experience, foster a high-performing culture, and contribute to the success of the Market Development team
Qualifications:
- For undergraduate: experience in renewables, power markets, consulting, or strategy is a plus but not required
- For masters: 2-4 years experience in renewables, power markets, consulting, strategy, or other related fields required
- A demonstrated interest and passion in renewable energy, sustainability, or the energy transition
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise presentations and reports
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, engaging cross-functionally with different business areas
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret market data and policy developments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
