An "EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert" is a technical role focused on utilizing Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert software to monitor, analyze, and optimize electrical power systems within a facility, identifying potential issues, improving energy efficiency, and ensuring system reliability by leveraging advanced data analysis and reporting capabilities within the platform; essentially acting as a power system data analyst with expertise in the PME software.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Program and Support the ION, SEL and other meters installed within the company fleet
  • Knowledge and experience with databases, and automation scripting
  • Data collection and analysis:
    • Monitoring real-time power consumption data from various electrical equipment, analyzing power quality metrics, identifying trends, and generating reports to identify energy inefficiencies
  • System configuration and maintenance:
    • Setting up and configuring the EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert software, including data points, alarms, and reporting parameters, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis
  • Fault detection and troubleshooting:
    • Utilizing advanced power forensics features to identify the root cause of power events, including voltage sags, harmonics, and power surges, and taking corrective actions
  • Energy efficiency optimization:
    • Identifying energy-saving opportunities by analyzing load profiles, identifying peak demand periods, and recommending energy efficiency measures
  • Compliance management:
    • Generating reports to ensure adherence to power quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Proactive maintenance:
    • Monitoring equipment health based on power parameters, predicting potential failures, and scheduling preventative maintenance tasks
  • Stakeholder communication:
    • Presenting data insights and recommendations to facility managers, engineers, and other relevant stakeholders to improve operational efficiency

 

Job Requirements and Experiences:

  • Degree preferred, NOT required
  • Expertise in electrical systems and power quality principles
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in using EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert software
  • Data visualization and reporting capabilities
  • Understanding of energy management strategies
  • Familiarity with industrial automation systems (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
  • Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
  • This position is an office-based role with travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
