 The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end logistics strategy, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and delivery operations for photovoltaic (PV) solar modules and related equipment. This role ensures materials arrive safely, on time, and within budget to support manufacturing, distribution, and utility-scale solar project execution.The PV Module Logistics Manager oversees domestic operations for solar module supply chains. This position manages transportation providers, warehouse operations, inventory controls, customs compliance, and project material deliveries while driving continuous improvement in logistics performance, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction. The role serves as a key liaison between procurement, project management, suppliers, carriers, and (Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) teams to ensure seamless material flow from manufacturing facilities to renewable project site locations (addresses) throughout the united states.

 Role Responsiblities:

• Maintain an awareness of all projects/locations within their purview and the status of key materials for each through coordination with stakeholders (e.g., Logistics/Delivery – PV Modules and other duties as assigned i.e., related to project sites, storage vendor coordination)
• Oversee Logistics for all projects, including status updates and reporting where required including all department teams
• Actively work relationships with suppliers and key Point of Contact (POC(s))
• Organize and lead key meetings for POCs where needed: ‒ Logistics/Delivery: Logistics/Delivery/ Laydown/Staging meetings with the RWECE/Contractor site teams, beginning with a kick-off meeting and then periodic meetings.
• Identify potential concerns with project level logistics, solve issues with vendor/carriers and site contractors, and elevate any problems or issues with Leadership
• Create and support data KPI’s demonstrating the status of movement of the OSE inventory
• Support process improvement initiatives within the logistics function, identifying opportunities for standardization and efficiency
• Travel to project sites for training and meetings (20-30%)
• Tracking of PV modules to project sites and warehouse(s) with detail on all shipments to include BOL/POD/FTD, damages, Warranty Claims etc.
• Collaborate with Indirect Procurement for delivery campaigns and warehouse storage
• Collaborate with the Project Management Team and contractors to ensure compliance with project deadlines
• Communicate with the Quality Team on any quality issues with equipment
• Provide weekly status updates to management for project deliveries

Job Requirements and Expereince:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience including 5+ years logistics-oriented experience.
• B.S. degree in Business Administration/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of Renewables - preferred
• Experience managing utility-scale solar project logistics preferred
• Familiarity with Incoterms, customs regulations, and trade compliance requirements
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)/Inventory Management System (IMS) 
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
• Ability to coordinate details with several projects
• Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
• Experience with WMS/IMS Systems
• SAP experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
• Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
• Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
• Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
• Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is an office-based hybrid role with some travel (+/- 30%) and visits to other RWECE offices and field locations.  The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time as required

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $138,000 - $180,000 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
