The Project Manager will be responsible for leading delivery of digital capabilities through the development of a customized tech stack for RWE Clean Energy.  Project Manager will work closely with senior management, business stakeholders, 3rd party vendors and project managers to ensure execution of the project on-time / on-budget while escalate key risks and issues.  The applicant must have a proven track record in delivering large scale strategic tech projects in the renewable energy sector and a strong project management background. The candidate needs to display the ability to perform tasks independently and/or with minimum guidance, and to take a leadership role in project management to ensure activities are completed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project managing technical teams to deliver products within prescribed timelines while interfacing with leadership, business customers, and other stakeholders
  • Development and maintenance of project planning and communication artifacts including workplans, risk registers, decision papers, and timelines
  • Creation and delivery of communications including project team / technical / executive meetings and written communications including emails, dashboards, presentation
  • Proactively track project health, potential risks and active issues while partnering with relevant stakeholders to continually problem-solve, de-risk and enhance delivery
  • Planning and leading workshops with key stakeholders including business, internal RWE Clean Energy IT/OT, and broader RWE stakeholders (<10% travel expected)
  • Ramp up and take over the role as the overall project lead as part of RWE Clean Energy’s IT/OT group-wide integration project
  • Interface with key service providers (internal and external) to ensure RACI SLAs are met, management of shared integrated project plan, resourcing requests, and influencing workstream owners
  • Management of activities, continuous improvement measures at RWECE IT/OT
  • Partner with business stakeholders to continuously understand, define and achieve project goals, enhance efficiency and reduce delivery costs
  • Introduce agile ways of working as appropriate in alignment with IT strategy and project requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT and technology in growing responsibility
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Program Manager, or similar roles
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to learn new technologies as required for the job using documentation and other available sources
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer and service provider relationships
  • Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Ability to manage complex projects including but not limited to prioritization of critical path, escalation of risks and issues, management of stakeholders, and problem-solving with workstreams
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams (ERD), cross functional diagrams, user stories, wireframes, Agile, Scrum, Unified Modeling Language (UML), Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN), etc.
  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds at all levels of the organization
  • Is a team player embracing the spirit of continuous improvement personally and within the team
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
  • This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations

  • Must be able to work with remote teams, both within the US and globally

  • Must also be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time.
