The Development Optimization team is responsible for portfolio management across the utility scale renewable development pipeline, and digital transformation across the primary products of Salesforce and GIS. This internship will focus on supporting, leading, and implementing a digital roadmap across the renewables organization. This position entails product support, user adoption and communication, and enablement of AI use cases. The role will have the opportunity to design, build, test, and manage features that will directly affect renewable energy development at RWECE across cutting edge technology systems. The internship will also provide many opportunities for cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support development and implementation of the RWECE digital roadmap
- Support analysis of existing business models and operations, identifying areas for improvement under guidance
- Participate in requirements documentation, drafting user stories, use cases, and basic functional specifications
- Lead user experience and adoption discussions to deeply assess UI/UX of the product and interaction with the business
- Support design and testing of cutting edge AI tools
- Assist in preparing leadership material for SME engagement
- Attend and support cross-functional portfolio management engagement opportunities
- Learn navigation of vendor relationships and support structures
- Build and analyze portfolio data through reporting and dashboards across the RWECE renewables pipeline
- Interact with senior business leaders to present digital solution options and results
Job Requirements and Experiences:
- Working on a degree in Business, Information Science/Technology, and a strong interest in renewables
- Ability to learn new technologies as required for the job using documentation and other available sources
- Ability to manage a dynamic project workload
- Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to present to various stakeholders
- Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds at all levels of the organization
- Is a team player embracing the spirit of continuous improvement personally and within the team
- Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
