Accounting Business Partner (m/w/d)

In the role of Accounting Business Partner you will be responsible for whole finance support for SPVs from RWE portfolio in Poland, which is growing dynamically in the renewable energy industry (wind and solar energy). You will be part of the international Finance team within RWE Renewables, which gives opportunity to work with people all over the world including Australia and US in order to ensure compliance with international accounting standards and group policies.
 

Your tasks:

  • Bookkeeping of business transactions in Polish accounting standards
  • Preparation and timely submission of accurate tax returns to Tax Authorities (VAT, CIT)
  • Perform month/quarter/year closing activities
  • Preparation of individual financial statements in accordance with Polish accounting standards
  • Preparation of reports from the Central Statistical Office, National Bank of Poland, ARE, etc.
  • Support in improving processes, implementing new tools and improvements
  • Ongoing cooperation, also in English, with the group reporting department, controlling and the development and construction teams


Your profile:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an independent position in the accounting department including general ledger
  • University degree in accounting or finance
  • Experience in preparing financial statements
  • Knowledge of the Accounting Act and tax law provisions
  • Ability to think analytically and solve accounting-related problems
  • Fluent Polish and Advanced English is required; specially in accounting and taxes area
  • Openness to changes and working in a dynamically changing environment
  • Good work organization, punctuality in carrying out duties
  • Communication and ability to work in a team
  • An advantage: knowledge of Optima or/and SAP 4 HANA
