This role falls under the Operations organization through the Major Maintenance and Tech Services department reporting through Plant Logistics and Maintenance to the Sr Manager, Inventory and PM Master. The Manager, Maint and Tech Services will be responsible for the team supporting the inventory for their region, ensuring the right part is available at the time, and assisting site operations with managing warranty claims.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest level of HSE practices with all inventory and warehouse processes and procedures
  • Lead and direct a standard warehouse process (5S) or all material handling at all RWE wind farms within region
  • Verify inventory processes and procedures for SAP MM are followed at RWE wind farms within region
  • Lead and direct inventory cycle count processes at all RWE wind farms within region/monitor quarterly inventory counts for regio
  • Coordinate with sites within region to establish “root cause” for inventory variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead and direct process changes to reduce/eliminate inventory variances, including new AWP’s and other Operations policies and procedures
  • Ensure MRP settings review is completed at each site per RWE policy
  • Ensure MRP report is ran and Purchase Requisitions are created for spares needed at all wind farms within region
  • Promotes and fosters the RWE Ops culture and strong team environment not only within inventory/Ops site personnel/procurement/AP but across partner departments
  • Perform safety and other wind farm related tasks when assigned
  • Perform coaching sessions monthly and frequent 1-2-1’s with direct reports
  • Risk report created bi-weekly for site leadership along with phone calls with ICS to eliminate future risk
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss KPIs, Action Log items and disseminate all pertinent news
  • Cascade new processes and procedures to team
  • Implement and enforce NWOW procedures
  • Support and assist MM Specialist in creating new part numbers in SAP system
  • Ensure all employees are provided with training in a timely manner and is maintained per RWE policy
  • Provide clear line of communication to all employees of pertinent information disseminated by management team
  • Monitor all inventory control processes and procedures
  • Attend cross department meetings
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • High School degree. Associates or higher in business or technical preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in inventory and warehouse management, with at least 1 of these years using SAP Material Management
  • At least two years of direct Supervisory experience required
  • Prefer experience in wind power, or other similar utility or industrial setting
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to interact effectively and professionally with various levels of personnel and departments, vendors and able to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Promote safety for all at all times
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and make decisions for all issues related to his/her discipline(s) with limited and/or available information
  • Strong understanding of inventory processes, familiar with Excel and able to become certified and maintain the ability to operate a forklift and become CPR and first aid certified. Minimum intermediate Office Suite computer skills and knowledge
  • Ability to research and correct invoicing issues, inventory discrepancies, and goods issue/goods receipt, be able to follow prepared work instructions, sourcing other parts with the aid of procurement and engineering
  • Adjust readily to changes in direction and work priorities while working efficiently to complete assigned tasks and achieve goals
  • Typical work hours are from 7-3:30 with potential to change dependent on work load
  • There is expected travel of minimum 4-6 weeks per year with frequent travel to sites within your region expected
