The Structured Finance team is responsible for raising external project financing, primarily tax equity financing, for utility-scale renewable energy projects as a key contributor to RWE's growth and financial objectives. The Structured Finance team works closely with investors, third-party consultants, and internal business teams to efficiently execute financing transactions and support RWE's strategic objectives. The Manager, Structured Finance has first-hand experience leading renewable energy financing transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead valuation modeling for tax equity transactions and other financing arrangements
• Coordinate various workstreams necessary to successfully execute financing transactions, including diligence management
• Provide support to senior deal members in deal structuring and negotiating deal documentation
• Manage various workstreams necessary to successfully execute financing transactions, including having a lead role on structuring the economics of the transaction, negotiating deal documentation, and diligence management
• Provide coaching and development to junior members in the team
• Assist other parts of the finance team as required, including quality control reviews and gate process support
• Recommend and lead process improvement initiatives
• Assist with various internal ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (required) with a background in business, finance, accounting, tax, or other analytical field.
• MBA or similar postgraduate degree is considered a plus
• Minimum 8 years’ of experience overall in a role with an emphasis on maintaining financial models and investment presentations 
• Knowledgeable of renewable energy project economics (specifically wind, solar, or storage) and related incentive systems (required)
• Experience modeling tax equity partnership flip structures or similar project finance modeling (required)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to apply creative thinking to complex problems
• Excellent Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and model creation (required)
• Team player with the flexibility to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
• Effective communicator with strong written and presentation skills
• Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
• Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
